Living in Nevada

Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada (© Hanze - Fotolia.com)While Nevada is known for its casinos and gambling, there are other activities to enjoy and participate in. Nevada has several museums and art galleries to visit such as Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, Stremmel Art Gallery and Shepard’s Fine Arts Gallery for nurses to enjoy at their leisure. Other interesting venues are The Las Vegas Strip, Mojave Desert at the Lost City Museum, Hoover Dam and Virginia City silver mining.  Since the word “Nevada means “snow covered” in Spanish, you would expect that skiing at 18 resorts, snowboarding and cross country skiing would be excellent adventures for nurses. Hiking, rock climbing, driving all-terrain vehicles, cycling and golfing in the desert are great ways to spend the day.
